I’m Claudio from Verona. My city is located in the west part of Veneto, a big region in the north of Italy. Veneto is a region full of history and full of beautiful places.
Verona is one of this place, located in a strategic point of the Pianura Padana, next to the Garda Lake, the biggest lake in Italy (full of ancient villages and castles that offering stunning scenery with the montains around) and close to Lessinia natural park, a complex of pre-Alpine mountains.
Verona, the city mainly famous in the would for the story of Romeo e Giulietta, is a city rich of history, therefore, monuments such as the Arena, a roman amphitheater, the Roman theater, Castelvecchio, a suggestive castle on the river (Adige) and many other.
I like my city because its streets, squares and churches make me return in the past and because every day walking around the city i can discover something news.
Infact, Verona is a concentrate of things to visit. I especially advice to visit the squares Piazza Bra, Piazza Erbe, Piazza dei Signori, the churches San Zeno, San Fermo, Santa Anastasia Church and the Teodorico Castle in addition to the things mentioned at the beginning.
Verona is also famous for its wine, so, if you come here you have absolutely to try at least this three wine Amarone, Recioto and Soave tasting also the local cuisine that as in the rest of Italy is excellent.
